Rockford IceHogs, 25-20-4-3, 56 points, .549 win%, 6th Central, 11th West

The Cleveland Monsters roll into Rockford to take on the IceHogs tonight. The Monsters and IceHogs are currently tied in the series. Both have a record of 3-2-0-1 for the season.

There are two keys to winning this game tonight.

The Monsters must continue to play a full 60 minutes of hockey. Look at what happened on Sunday. They played a complete game and easily took down the number one team in the conference.

Top notch defensive zone coverage is a must from tonight until the end of the season. More importantly, they need to keep the IceHogs as far away from the crease as possible. The Monsters cannot afford to lose another goalie.

After Jeff Zatkoff took a nasty hit in Sunday afternoon’s game, Ivan Kulbakov was called up by the Monsters. It appears Matiss Kivlenieks will start in net against the IceHogs.

Scott Savage and Michael Kirkpatrick are back with the Monsters. It’s unclear if they will play tonight. It definitely will be nice to have extra bodies on the road for the next four games.
