Hey, it’s Saturday! We get a new Doctor Who episode tonight!

Over at the CBJ Reddit, they’ve got a great season in review graphic. 🙂

PHT is wondering if Shane Done could be traded if the Coyotes should struggle this season.

There are a pair of updates (dare I say a “brace”?) over at Puck-Rakers – one focusing on the team returning to Miami U as part of the pre-season team building, and another part of the “In Depth” series looking at the lineup down the middle.

Rejoice – jersey fouls have returned!

Not really a linkable news item per se, but the Jackets sent season ticket holders their single game ticket pre-sale info yesterday…and suddenly there is a wildfire of people trying to find out the codes on Twitter. Folks, if you don’t know the person asking you to share your code? DON’T. I’m not even worrying about visiting fans so much as I’m worried about scalpers and those who simply want to take advantage of your goodwill. Why risk it?

Mike Modano is still debating retirement.

On the subject of the Jackets’ depth at center, DBJ is taking a look at what he calls the “Johansen Quandry”.

Fenway park is hosting another outdoor hockey game – this time a doubleheader for Hockey East.

Apparently CBJ prospect netminder Anton Forsberg’s nickname is “Sock” – and Sock went out and grabbed a 3-0 40 save shutout for Modo yesterday. (Stick tap to CBJProspects)

Justin Bourne has a blog up on hockey pranks. (He’s not a fan.)

Yahoo Fantasy Hockey is opening back up for registration! Thanks to the CBJ Reddit page, here’s stats for every CBJ player!

After Logan Couture signed his new deal yesterday, there are still 6 high profile RFAs waiting for new deals.

Light The Lamp took some pictures from Hockey Beats Down yesterday, including items from the silent auction that starts today!

ESPN Radio and NFL.com personality Dave Dameshek gets his turn in the guilty pleasures barrel.

The Blue Jackets aren’t the only ones excited by this past offseason – the ownership in Springfield are fully on board.

Finally, a report from the Portland Winterhawks pre-season “Neely Cup” tournament. Oliver Gabriel played in two matches, losing one and winning the other. He had three goals and an assist between both games.
