Cleveland Monsters, 8-9-2-2, 20 points, .476 win%, 5th Central, 12th West

vs

San Antonio Rampage, 13-10-2-0, 28 points, .560 win%, 4th Pacific, 7th West

The Cleveland Monsters and San Antonio Rampage meet for a “one and done” weekend series.

In opponent’s barns, the Monsters have a paltry record of 2-4-1-2. While the Rampage have an impressive 6-4-1-0 record at home.

Last season, the Rampage placed last in the Pacific. This season they have stayed around the 3rd and 4th spot in the division. They are looking to maintain good positioning so they can enter the playoffs and make a run for the Calder Cup.

The Rampage have a group of scorers who need to be stopped at all costs. Felix Girard, Rocco Grimaldi, Tage Thompson, and Andrew Agozzino have seven goals apiece. While Jordan Schmaltz leads the Rampage with 14 assists. Every single one of them is dangerous once the puck hits their stick.

Both teams are fairly even in the special teams area. If the Monsters can get things cooking with their special teams, they’ll be able to effectively take down the Rampage.

Sonny Milano is back with the Monsters this weekend. There is no doubt the team benefits from his offensive style of play. Milano may not be a top scorer but he does know how to generate successful offensive plays.
