Highlight Recap: Jackets Win Rollercoaster, 6-4

Depending on what point you watched this game, it was one of the best of the season or the worst, without much in between.

Let’s get right to it, because this game started with a bang:

Zach Werenski opened the scoring, but it wasn’t long before Markus Nuttivaara wanted a piece of that action:

Oh, and not to be outdone, Pierre-Luc Dubois would score another against the team he started his NHL legend against, and even better, he did it on the power play!

Things were looking pretty damned good after the first period, especially after the embarrassment of Tuesday’s loss to Edmonton, but…uh.

Well.

Maybe I should let the CBJ twitter feed explain:

Thanks in no small part to Josh Bailey, who would pick up his first career hat trick tonight, the Islanders had tied things up, and plenty of fans were expecting a dramatic collapse for the second night in a row.

Seth Jones? He had other plans.

Oh, and this happened:

Bailey would get a goal on the power play to cut the lead to 5-4 in the third period, but Bobrovsky and the team in front of him dug deep, and when they needed to nail the lid on this game?

The empty netter wrapped things up with one second to go in regulation, and the Blue Jackets picked up some vital points in the Metro.

That’ll do.
