The last-place Rockford IceHogs blanked the Cleveland Monsters on Wednesday night. Evan Mosey (IceHogs) scored the first and only goal of the night at the three-minute mark of the game.
Tonight, the Monsters look to redeem themselves for Wednesday night’s loss.
There is only one key to tonight’s game.
The Monsters need to play 60 minutes of hockey like they did in the final minutes of Wednesday’s game. With 2:24 minutes left in the game, John Madden pulled Anton Forsberg. He would end up sitting the rest of the game.
During those final 2:24 minutes, the Monsters attacked the net and blocked Jeff Glass’ view of his teammates. The puck didn’t get anywhere near the empty net. Let me repeat that statement. For 2:24 minutes, the puck went nowhere near the empty net.
If the Monsters play like that for 60 minutes tonight, they will surely come out on top.
