Preseason Game #4 Preview: Columbus Blue Jackets at Pittsburgh Penguins
For the first time in three seasons, this matchup will feature two teams that didn’t win a Stanley Cup.
Saturday, September 22, 2018 - 3 p.m. EST
PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA
TV: NHL Network; Radio: 1460 AM
Opponent’s Blog: Pensburgh
Columbus Blue Jackets (1-2-0)
at
Pittsburgh Penguins (0-2-0)
Notes
The Jackets were blanked last night by the St. Louis Blues in a 3-0 loss in which Sergei Bobrovsky made his preseason debut despite the cloud of his contract situation hanging over his head.
Pittsburgh has yet to be on the victorious end of a preseason contest after dropping consecutive 3-2 decisions to Buffalo and Detroit (in overtime) earlier this week.
The two teams will meet again in Columbus this coming Friday. The Jackets are the first of a back-to-back for the Pens, who’ll take on Detroit tomorrow.
The Jackets will be without two of their stars again in Zach Werenski and Artemi Panarin, who are fighting back from shoulder and neck injuries, respectively.

What We’re Looking For?
That top line of Jenner/Dubois/Anderson could be a lot of fun to watch. Also, how does Korpisalo look? As Will said yesterday, the wins/losses don’t matter much in the preseason and it’s more or less an opportunity to see how the young guys are looking.
But still, that top line could be fun.
