OSU, Gay Hockey Ohio To Partner for Pride Night
OSU Men's Hockey and Gay Hockey Ohio will partner up for the February 1st game against Notre Dame to benefit Camp Sunrise and Kaleidoscope Ohio.
After writing about the You Can Play pledge, I was honored to receive a very kind email from Don Zender and Doug Massey with Gay Hockey Ohio. They, and their D league team the Ohio Mayhem will be working with OSU to sponsor a Pride Night on Friday, 2/1 against Notre Dame that will see money being raised to benefit Camp Sunrise and Kaleidoscope Ohio. From what I understand, they will also be running some You Can Play PSAs during the game.
GHO is offering $10 tickets that include a pre-game reception and a post game skate with the team on the Value City ice, and it sounds like there will be a few more things that should be announced soon. You can purchase tickets here.
I realize I said that "Pride Night" shouldn't be a one-time thing, but we live in an imperfect world. I want to encourage you to check it out, grab tickets, and support some good causes while getting a solid hockey fix.
Plus, hey, I hear that T.J. Tynan kid is pretty good...
