Highlight Recap: Penguins 3, Blue Jackets 2 (SO)
Here’s what happened
First Period
Nothing of note happened
Second Period
Columbus opens the scoring with a goal from Pierre-Luc Dubois (assists to Artemi Panarin and Gabriel Carlsson)

Period ends with a large line brawl. Penalties given to 4 different players, including a questionable game misconduct to Boone Jenner.
Third Period
Penguins take advantage of the 4 on 3 power play with a Patric Hornqvist deflection of a Phil Kessel shot.
Then the teams trade dumb penalties, with Panarin drawing a faceoff violation penalty and Evgeni Malkin scoring.
Shortly thereafter, Pittsburgh takes a too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty and Columbus capitalizes with a Panarin goal.

Overtime
My heart was in my throat the whole time. Classic wide open 3-on-3 play. Bob came up huge:

Shootout:
Malkin scores
Atkinson scores
Crosby attempt saved by Bob’s glove
Panarin hits the post
Kessel attempt blocked by Bob
Johnson (!) attempt kick saved by Murray
Letang slows down and chip shots over Bob’s left arm
BJORKSTRAND loses the puck and it’s kicked away by Murray
Chippy game, lots of penalties, but well fought and good result to get the road point.
