Here is your open thread to discuss all news surrounding the NHL Trade Deadline! Teams have until 3 PM EST to acquire players for them to be eligible for the postseason roster. Remember, though, that some trade news will come out later for deals submitted at the last minute.

Columbus Blue Jackets President of Hockey Operations (and interim General Manager) John Davidson has stated that it will likely be a quiet deadline for his team. Any big move will wait for the new GM to make this off-season. The most probable move will be trading Jack Roslovic, the one notable pending unrestricted free agent on the roster.

Some notable moves this week within the Metro Division:

Washington traded Anthony Mantha to Vegas for a 2024 2nd and 2026 4th round pick, and Joel Edmundson to Toronto for a 2024 3rd and 2025 5th. Nice bit of selling there.

The Rangers acquired our old friend Alexander Wennberg from Seattle for a 2024 2nd and 2025 4th.

Philadelphia, despite being in a playoff position, traded defenseman Sean Walker to Colorado for a first round pick (and Ryan Johansen, who was waived and sent to the AHL, lmao).

Late breaking last night was an intradivisional trade, with pending UFA Jake Guentzel (currently injured, as well) going to Carolina, with Pittsburgh getting Michael Bunting, three prospects, and a couple of conditional picks.

As always, use this thread to share any rumors or reports that come out, but include links where possible so we know the source.

Also, good luck to the teams competing in the state high school semifinals this afternoon!
