Andrew Peeke traded to the Boston Bruins

In a surprise deal, Peeke has been dealt to the Boston Bruins. He played 218 games for the Blue Jackets and tallied 10 goals and 32 assists. His frequent scratches and large contract made many think he was untradeable.

The return is Jakub Zboril, a left-handed defenseman who will be a UFA this summer.

#CBJ get Jakub Zaboril from Boston in the trade that sends Andre Peeke to the Bruins. Zabroil, the 13th overall pick in 2015, has spent all of this season with AHL Providence after playing sparingly with Bruins over the last four seasons.

This clears $2.75m of cap space for the Blue Jackets for the next two seasons.
