Thoughts on Monday's Roster

In addition to posting a recap, Porty has the roster for Monday up on Puck Rakers.

Here's a guess at some lines:

Atkinson - Vermette - Prospal

Mayorov - Bass - Boll

Escalating Atkinson to the top line is a bit of a stretch, but he's had some really natural chemistry with Vermette that I suspect the team will try to encourage in hopes of getting him scoring a bit more.

I'm VERY nervous about this defense on the road against the Capitals. Even if they swapped things to run Tyutin and Methot as the top pair for the evening, that's a very inexperienced crew going against a really dangerous unit. I wouldn't be surprised if whomever starts (probably Curtis Sanford, but stranger things have happened) will have a very difficult night in front of them.

Expect a lot of guys pushing hard - 12 of the 21 players on this roster could easily find themselves in Springfield before Thursday's tune up game, and they'll need to put on a show if they hope to change their travel plans.
