Thanks Steve Mason — you saved our season. I already can’t wait to see you next Fall when you get a proper Summer of conditioning and a real training camp. To think of all you did in the NHL after coming back from 2 knee surgeries and only 3 AHL games to prepare is even more incredible.
Thank you Rick Nash. You are the captain we’ve always needed. You left it all out on the ice, and it’s a pleasure watching a world class player night in and night out in Columbus. I really can’t say more — I’m just thrilled you are our fearless leader.
Thank you RJ Umberger, Fedor Tyutin, Mike Commodore, Kristian Huselius, Jake Voracek, and Derick Brassard for coming in this year and changing this team. And thank you Jan Hejda, for quietly being one of the best defensemen in the league.
