Heading into today’s game, the Monsters sit squarely in the number five spot in the division. Down their top two scorers, Oliver Bjorkstrand and T.J.Tynan, the Monsters will have to bring a little extra spunk to this game.
As of right now, they are still missing Anton Forsberg and will depend on Brad Thiessen and Michael Houser to hold down the fort. Thiessen didn’t fare so well in the Monsters loss to the Wolves on Saturday. He let in 30 of the 36 shots the Wolves fired off. When the Monsters put Houser in net the third period, he stopped three of four shots. This probably says more about the defense than Houser himself.
The Monsters need to keep their speed and stamina up for the entire game. They were out skated multiple times on Saturday.
Look for Joe Pendenza to create magic in today’s game. He always comes to Milwaukee ready to rock n’ roll.
UPDATE (9:52am) :
The Jackets assigned T.J. Tynan to the Monsters. If he was assigned last night, Tynan will possibly play today. If Tynan was assigned this morning, he will likely not make it in time to play against the Admirals.
