Stats
The Columbus Blue Jackets started 2018 off with a bang by beating the Dallas Stars, 2-1, on Tuesday night. They are hoping to use this positive momentum to propel them through tonight’s game against the Colorado Avalanche.
Spearheaded by Nathan MacKinnon, the Avalanche’s first line is rather dangerous. MacKinnon and company know how to create something out of nothing. Shutting down that line will be of great importance.
Semyon Varlamov is nursing a “muscular injury” and will likely not play tonight. Which means Jonathan Bernier will more than likely be the starting netminder for the Avalanche. He has a .898 save percentage and 3.15 gaa. If the Jackets consistently attack the net, they will be able to get a leg up on the Avalanche and skate away with the win.
