We are now only eight days from opening night as the preseason rolls on. Tonight, the Sabres will be in Nationwide to take on a Blue Jackets lineup that is similar to the one from Monday night.
Vincent seems to be taking a different approach to preseason games. Instead of throwing all of the bubble players into the same game and watching them duke it out (this may still happen tomorrow night), he has been putting bubble players into lineups similar to what we may see on opening night. Tonight’s contestants include Sillinger, Robinson, Bemstrom, Danforth, Peeke, and Bean.
We will see tonight if the Marchenko – Laine – Gaudreau line is staying intact. They played well at 5v5 on Monday night. The rest of the lineup is a bit of a toss-up, but here is how they could look:
