After what seems like a interminable wait, the Stanley Cup Final is here! This is your post to chat during the games, beginning tonight! It’s also your home for any other NHL news in the coming week, including continued speculation over the still-vacant Columbus Blue Jackets head coaching position.

Here is the full schedule, with all games at 8 p.m. EDT on TNT:

Saturday, June 3: Florida at Vegas
Monday, June 5: Florida at Vegas
Thursday, June 8: Vegas at Florida
Saturday, June 10: Vegas at Florida
Tuesday, June 13: Florida at Vegas (if necessary)
Friday, June 16: Vegas at Florida (if necessary)
Monday, June 19: Florida at Vegas (if necessary)

Bracket Challenge update

Here is our current top 5 in The Cannon’s Bracket Challenge:

  1. tom (146 points)
  2. Ffmorgan89 (115)
  3. Bowtie_Stats Estimates (112)
  4. Team america (103)
  5. Pale Dragon and MrSwift (94)

The only one remaining with any points to earn is FFMorgan, who chose Vegas as his champion. If the Golden Knights win, he clinches with 215 points. If Florida completes their Cinderella run, then tom holds on for the title.

Which former Jacket will lift the Cup?

We saw David Savard hoist the Cup with Tampa two years ago, and Jack Johnson last year. We are guaranteed another former Jacket to win this year. Quite a few, in fact!

Florida

Players:
Sergei Bobrovsky
Anthony Duclair
Zac Dalpe (also an Ohio State alumnus; would join Jamie Macoun as the only other Buckeye to win a Cup)

Staff:
General Manager Bill Zito (former Columbus assistant general manager and Cleveland Monsters GM)
Gregory Campbell, Vice President of Player Personnel & Development
Dalton Prout, Professional Scout
Sylvain Lefebrve, Assistant Coach (remember him?)

Vegas

Players:
William Karlsson
Jonathan Marchessault
Keegan Kolesar (former CBJ 3rd round pick)
Jonathan Quick

Staff:
Ryan Craig, Assistant Coach (appeared in 8 games for Columbus, captained the Monsters to the Calder Cup title in 2016)

So, who do you think will win? Who do you want to win?
