For the first time, we here at the Cannon will be running a Fantasy Hockey League for the 2023-24 season! This should be a fun new way to continue to grow and interact with our community on this site, in a semi-competitive and more hands-on way.
Due to a potential for a large number of responses, we’re requiring a vetting process to keep the league at a reasonable number of GMs. If you’re interested, fill out the application link here. Deadline to fill out the form is Wednesday, September 27th, 2023. You’ll receive an email invitation once accepted into the League (note that this won’t be until after the form deadline).
League details
Draft: Live Online Draft, Starting at 1:00 PM Eastern on Sunday, October 1st
League: Fantrax Points league with weekly head-to-head matchups
League Size: The goal is for there to be 10-16 teams, though we might push it up to 18 or 20 teams if possible.
Roster Size: This will depend on response, but the goal is to not use more than 250 players, so that newbie GMs could just use NHL.com’s Top 250 Ranking. However, with a good enough response, the total may be around 300.
