Game Preview: Last Chance for Revenge
Jackets look to continue streaking, and finally beat Boston
Remember Opening Night? It featured two competitive periods against Boston, then an awful third period.
On November 10, Columbus went to Boston and Bob got chased in the first period after allowing four goals in four minutes.
In what has been the most successful start to a season in Columbus history, the Boston Bruins have been an Achille’s Heel. They are responsible for 2 of the 5 regulation losses so far. In the first game, the Blue Jackets were still trying to adjust to their new system and roles. In the second game, the lineup was missing Brandon Dubinsky and Seth Jones.
Tonight? There’s no excuse. Columbus has the best record in the ENTIRE NHL. They are riding a 12 game win streak and 14 game point streak. Boston is in playoff position, but has gone 3-4-3 in their last 10.
Let’s hope the Jackets are rested and ready to go.
