Game Faceoff
The Jackets are home, the California road trip behind them, and are squarely in a prime position to perhaps make a playoff push this year. Who would have ever guessed.
Since getting blown out on Opening Night, the team has posted a 3-2-1 record. They snagged a point in Los Angeles, shut down last year’s Western Conference regular season leaders, and demolished the Anaheim Ducks. They haven’t dug themselves an awful hole to start the season, and have one of the hardest stretches of the schedule behind them. Things are actually looking up for this team!
The Blue Jackets tonight will play host to the Dallas Stars. Dallas, while having seven points just like the Blue Jackets, has been having a rough start to its season. With Ales Hemskey going down, they have now lost 3 of their top 6 forwards to injury. They are far off the pace from where they were last season.
In other words, it’s a good thing we’re playing both games against them early this year.
In Blue Jackets news, Joonas Korpisalo has been reassigned to the Cleveland Monsters. Hopefully he can regain his form.
