The Avalanche don't fare well on home ice. In fact, they haven't won there since the end of January, The Jackets are a good road team, setting a new road win record this year already. That's as good a reason as any to consider the Jackets a favorite tonight.

Some news to point out since this morning:

- Milan Hejduk is in the lineup for the Avs tonight. Look for David Koci to get the scratch.

- Steve Mason is the likely starter for the Jackets.

- Brian Elliott should be in the cage for the Avs.

If the Jackets win tonight, they split the season series 2-2. What the Jackets could use tonight is an offensive outburst, both for confidence and to gain momentum for the next game against the Coyotes.
