The thread title reflects two things I have on my mind tonight:
1) Remember when the Hartford Whalers had dibs on Brass Bonanza as their “theme” song? I miss the Whalers.
2) OMG Brasz is has retirned to the Jackits !!!!!111!!one!!!
Indeed, Brass has been activated off of injured reserve. There is still a chance that he doesn’t suit up, but with his recent comments regarding the distance between his injured hand and his heart, I’m willing to bet he goes. Since this morning we’ve learned that Arniel is going with Mathieu Garon in net tonight. As mentioned as well this morning, Jaro Halak is in net for the Blues.
If in fact Brass is in the lineup, this could lead to the forwards regaining their former linemates, which will hopefully lead to increased scoring. Rick Nash-as is the case with many forwards of his ilk-is in the midst of a scoring slump. The return of the pivot he has had the most success with this season could serve as a kickstart to another scoring binge. We can only hope.
I will have my eyes on Scottie Upshall all night. You just know he wants to make an impact in his home debut.
