Blunden Back to Springfield

Winger Mike Blunden, called up on an emergency recall Saturday due to Derek Dorsett's injury in Anaheim, was returned to the Falcons today. The versatile forward did not dress in San Jose or last night against Nashville, and with Dorsett's return, was not needed for the road trip to Long Island. Springfield went 1-1 while he was called up, beating the Syracuse Crunch but losing to the Worcester Sharks.

In other news, Marc Methot has been reported as not making the trip to New York, so Kris Russell will be back in the lineup for Wednesday.

The Jackets will take on the Islanders tomorrow at 7pm, and the Falcons will be back in action to take on the Manchester Monarchs the same evening.
