Blue Jackets Trade Dalton Prout

The veteran defenseman moves to New Jersey.

Per Darren Dreger, Dalton Prout has been traded to the New Jersey Devils.

Kyle Quincey, a defenseman, makes his way to the Columbus Blue Jackets in return. Quincey has registered 4-8-12 in 53 appearances for the devils this season, seeing 18:38  minutes per night.

Quincey, 31, signed on a one year deal this past offseason, makes $1.25 million this season, and will be an unrestricted free agent after this season. One more roster spot free next year.
