In the hours after recording our episode last week, and not having any NHL new to report, it was announced the NHL was officially coming back this season as the league will begin the new season Jan. 13. On this edition of The Cannon Cast we get into all things hockey and Blue Jackets including:

NHL/NHLPA went non-stop all weekend and continue Monday going back and forth on season protocols, transition rules, critical dates. The hope is to have it wrapped up over the next few days to set up a vote on each side by end of week. But as we saw in June, these things can drag

As colleague @RussoHockey reported, Minnesota could swap again. Also hear Dallas is a possibility. Could be a few other tweaks. Clearly some governors on Wednesday’s call who weren’t pleased with the temporary divisions as presented. So stay tuned.
