Round 2 Game 4 Quickcap: Bruins’ top players show up to beat Blue Jackets, 4-1

A pair of goals in the each of the first and third periods powered the Boston Bruins past the Columbus Blue Jackets in Game 4 on Thursday night at Nationwide Arena, evening the series at 2-2.

Patrice Bergeron scored twice and David Pastrnak added another as the Bruins’ top players finally made an appearance in the series. Tuukka Rask made 39 saves in the win.

Artemi Panarin scored for the CBJ in the first, though the puck had hit the protective netting earlier in the action and play was not whistled dead. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 42 of 46 shots.

The Blue Jackets went 0-for-4 on the power play while Boston went 2-for-6.

The loss marks the Blue Jackets’ first regulation defeat in these playoffs. Game 5 is Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
