The Blue Jackets head to our nation’s capital for the final preseason game of the year. After a round of roster cuts were made yesterday, this is largely the “dress rehearsal” before the games actually count. The roster pretty much looks as predicted sans a couple of names. Although they did play in the previous game on Thursday, it is somewhat surprising to see both Jack Roslovic and Adam Boqvist missing from this list. It would be more understandable if it was a back-to-back, but it just goes to show the stiff competition this camp and veterans are not necessarily safe. Elvis Merzlikins may be the only exception to that considering his only real competition was picked up on waivers during camp. It would put a lot of minds at ease a little bit to see him have a strong showing in the last game before the regular season.
Final lines will be posted once they are listed, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them as follows:
