The Columbus Blue Jackets have parted ways with General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen.
Days after celebrating his 11 year anniversary in the role, Kekalainen has been let go as the third general manager of the club. President of Hockey Operations John Davidson will serve as general manager duties as the team searches for a replacement.
Jarmo Kekalainen oversaw a 410-362-97 record in Columbus and oversaw the first playoff series win in franchise history.
More to come in the days ahead, but Columbus is now in the market for a new general manager.
