Zach Werenski signs three year contract extension with Columbus Blue Jackets
Werenski’s new deal will see the young standout make $5 million per year.
Zach Werenski has signed his contract extension just in time for fall training camp.
In a deal first reported by Kevin Weekes of the NHL Network and confirmed by Aaron Portzline of the Athletic, Werenski has signed a three year contract worth $5 million per season.

Deal should be official later today.
Werenski, a former Calder Trophy finalist, has played 237 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets. He has posted 38 career goals, 90 assists, and 128 points. Playing mostly top pairing minutes, he has averaged 22:08 of ice time per game since arriving in Columbus.
In 19 career playoff games, Werenski has posted a 3-7-10 line will playing 25:21 per night.
