The Cannon Cast Episode 61: Remember the Blue Jackets sweep over the Lightning?

We’re about a full month into quarantine but we do our best to stay busy and keep you entertained. On this week’s The Cannon Cast, we look at the latest ideas being talked about to wrap up the 2019-20 hockey season, and a fun peek back at the Blue Jackets over the past few years.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • NHL games, sans fans, in neutral sites to possibly conclude the 2019-20 season?/

  • With SB Nation launching theme weeks across all leagues in the network, we started our discussion on best teams — including a look at some of the best Jackets’ teams — and players not to win a championship. Be sure to stay tuned to The Cannon, as well as all of SB Nation for these theme week articles.
  • Fox Sports Ohio re-aired the Blue Jackets four-game series sweep over the league-best Lightning from last year’s historic first-round upset. Remember how loud things were as the cannon sounded off and the city of Columbus reverberated through the NHL and entire sports world?!/

  • Zach Werenski got a puppy!/

…and more!

Our theme music is the song “Green Eyes,” by Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons off of their album “Homemade Vision.” Angela’s newest album is called “4:30” and you should listen to it! She’s also on tour right now, so go check her out at angelaperley.com, and you should also check out Angela Perley on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for videos and live-streamed concerts from her home during this stay at home period.

We’re on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and a whole lot more, so check us out on iTunes here or search “Cannon” and “SB Nation” on Apple Podcasts. Leave us a review and a rating! We welcome your thoughts and feedback in the comments, and let us know if you have questions you want us to answer.
