Springfield Falcons 2012 Clear Day Roster

The American Hockey League released Clear Day rosters for all 30 teams earlier today. Falcons fan rejoice, as you look at the roster. Three skaters currently with the Blue Jackets are included on the Clear Day roster. If you’ve forgotten what Clear Day is in the A, this from the AHL website sums it up:

Each Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2011-12 AHL regular season and in the 2012 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams may also add signed draft choices and players signed to amateur tryout contracts, provided that their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

With 17 games remaining in the regular season, the Falcons are just two points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The Falcons return to action this Friday night when they conclude a five game road trip in Manchester, NH when they meet the Monarchs at 7PM. The Birds then return to the MassMutual Center in Springfield for games on Saturday night against the Syracuse Crunch at 7PM and Sunday at 3PM against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
