Shrapnel – 8/10/12

It’s Friday, and time to get a little Shrapnel on. Awww, yeah.

Over at Full Mental Jackets, Greg takes a look at the recent ownership changes in Cleveland, and suggests the Blue Jackets should take notice.

At #CBJ, the latest CBJ Fan Survey took an interesting look at lineup ideas – dare I say it, but do we really have three solid scoring lines?

The Peanut Gallery offered some HOCKEY 101, and icethetics suggests what the Maple Leafs winter classic sweaters may look like.

In case you missed us talking about it yesterday, Gary Bettman said that another lockout is a real possibility, but Puck Daddy suggests anger might be directed at the wrong people.

Backhand Shelf has a look at why Chris Kreider is the favorite for the Calder, why character guys matter, Greg Jamison may have his money sorted out, and BizNasty goes hiking.

At Burnside Carbine, he’s got a series of “What to Expect” from various Jackets, including Umby, DD, Vinny, and JMFJ.

Getting ready for Cannonfest? DBJ has some reasons to be excited and yet more funny pictures.

In player news, Artem Anisimov is heading into town, Brandon Dubinsky spent some time doing a twitter Q&A with fans, and at the Select A Seat last night Dubi, Jared Boll, and Dorsett all spent some time playing some street hockey with the kids. Notice that even against kids half his size, Boll still cannot roof the puck. Pretty sure that’s gonna lead to a few laps.

Speaking of not being able to “roof” a few things, Joel Ward had some embarrassing complications from surgery, Predators prospect Atte Engren has a mask that brings back the 80s, and Scott Gomez won the grand prize at his own charity event. Oops.

Last but not least, I was asked to take a look at the Jackets as part of SBNation’s offseason roundup. Take a look and let us know what you think?

Have a great Friday, and be careful out there.
