Shrapnel - 12/12 Edition

Rumors are flying around about Filatov already. He's been gone less than a month; lets not get ahead of ourselves. There's a game tonight, remember? Beat Anaheim!!!
And away we go!

From Blue Jackets Xtra:

Let's start with the CBJ's lines for tonight.

...and here's Anaheim's

Mike Commodore is a work in progress. Its time to start being a player, and not in progress of becoming a player. Its hard to believe he doesn't like to fight...

Proof positive that Raffi Torres deserves an extension. He won't be a leading scorer, but damnit, he's got his head in the right place. He's the kind of player Howson has been extending - team first, team, team, team. Viva Torres!

Derek MacKenzie has been placed on waivers. With the glut of wingers, it came down to him and Blunden. He shouldn't sell himself short, he could land somewhere and have an everyday job.

Good news, the team is still ahead of where we were last year. This just shows how important that fast start was. Time to start rolling again, and it starts tonight with Anaheim.

If anyone wants to watch an upcoming practice, the schedule, through Monday, is here.

Around the NHL:

Saturday is going to be a busy day around the league. Hockey for everyone!

Its official. The Phoenix Coyotes are being sold. Ice Edge Holdings has committed to keeping the team in Glendale. Phoenix has some crazy fans, so good for them.

11 rounds in a shootout. Sound familiar?

March On and Carry The Flag!!!
