Shrapnel – 11/20/11

I’d like to regale you with the heroic tales of how I celebrated the Jackets’ first win in Nashville in two presidential administrations, but I spent it on the couch with a headful of medicine. 🙁 Even so, the joy was palpable throughout the Blue Jackets fandom, and the entire city feels a bit of warm post-OT afterglow today.

Enjoy the recap from puck-rakers, DBJ, Martini Hockey, Bluejackets.com, and the other side of the coin at OTF.

For stories, pictures, and tales of glory from the Jacket Backers road trip, check out Light The Lamp.

Let’s keep this simple, and we’ll go around the league before taking a break.

Over at Puck Daddy, they debate if the Capitals firing Bruce Boudreau in the wake of their 7-1 loss to the Maple Leafs would make the team better. Mr. Paul “BizNasty” Bissonnette scored his first goal of the season (a GWG, no less) with his mom attending her first NHL game, and Ilya Bryzgalov attempts to win hearts and minds in Winnipeg…parks or no parks.

At Icethetics, it looks like we have a final version of the Flyers Winter classic jerseys, and Backhand Shelf wants to fix the sad state of women’s hockey fashions.
