Sergei Bobrovsky Named to Team Russia World Cup of Hockey Roster

The World Cup of Hockey takes place this year from September 17 to October 1, 2016 in Toronto. Today, the national organizations are releasing preliminary rosters of at least 16 skaters, with each full 23-man roster due to be finalized by June 1.

Sergei Bobrovsky, the currently injured Columbus Blue Jackets netminder, got the call from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation. While Bobrovsky has been taking part in morning skate as of late, he still has no timetable for his official return to the lineup.

Bobrovsky is 11-13-1 this season in 27 starts. He features a .911 save percentage, a 2.65 goals against average, and has one shutout on the season.
