QuickCap #11: Jackets Come Back From Three-Goal Deficit But Still Lose, 5-3

From “Oh no,” to “OH YEAH!” to “ohh nooo.”

ugh.

1st Period

A minute in.

Short handed.

And a laser.

Sergei Bobrovsky was quick to replace Joonas Korpisalo and he played like the Bob of old, making some nice saves and kept it from really getting out of hand.

2nd Period

No goals allowed! Woot.

3rd Period

Well, it started well.

CBJ drew first blood in the period on a nifty pass from Markus Nutivaara and despite swinging and missing on his first attempt, Josh Anderson put it home on the second chance.

Then, Nutivaara netted his first of the season.

And just moments later, Pierre-Luc Dubois tied things up.

But then, the Red Wings struck for the game winner.

And an empty netter for good measure.

It was about 30 minutes of solid play, Bobrovsky looked really good once he entered, but it would have been really nice to salvage a point.

It just fits the theme of the night - just one final missed opportunity.
