Quick Takes – Blue Jackets Edge Panthers 2-1

Good teams find ways to win.

The Blue Jackets are now 2nd overall in the NHL.

The Panthers gave everything they could as they attempted to keep their playoff hopes alive, but only managed two past Sergei Bobrovsky – one of which was waved off.

Zach Werenski continues to be on fire, tying the game with a ridiculous shot from a terrible angle.

Josh Anderson had an assist on the Werenski goal before redirecting a Jack Johnson shot in the final minute of the second period for the go-ahead goal, and the CBJ protected their lead perfectly, putting pressure on James Reimer and never letting the Panthers claw their way back into the game.

The Blue Jackets now have a franchise record for home wins with 26.

13 games to go. 2 points behind Washington for first overall in the Metro and the League.

Off to Brooklyn we go.
