Quick Takes: Blue Jackets at Senators

Here's what happened.

The Columbus Blue Jackets traveled to Ottawa, looking to continue their winning ways of late against the Ottawa Senators.

The Blue Jackets struck first behind Brandon Saad’s 20th of the season. Is he good yet?

The Senators answered with goals from Viktor Stalberg and Erik Karlsson. The Canadiens led 2-1 after two periods.

Ottawa potted an empty netter behind a Zack Smith effort as the Jackets fell behind 3-1. Sam Gagner scored immediately after though, cutting the lead to 3-2. Good for Gagner, who registered his first goal since December 23 against Montreal.

That would be it though, as Ottawa hung on for a tough 3-2 win.
