Quick Takes: Blue Jackets at Predators

The Blue Jackets made their only visit of their season to Nashville tonight to take on the Predators. The Jackets were looking to get back to their winning ways after struggling on Tuesday night in New York. Could they do it?

Short answer? No.

Brandon Saad broke his scoring streak tonight, opening the scoring and making it 1-0. And that was the only time the Jackets led tonight.

Nashville responded with 3 unanswered through the middle of the third period. The Jackets cut it to 3-2, but Nashville immediately doubled their lead to make the score 4-2 on a soft goal allowed by Sergei Bobrovsky.

Ryan Murray cut it to a one goal deficit with just under 3 minutes remaining, his first in 78 games. It would get no closer.

Despite lots of possession, Columbus wouldn’t have an empty net chance.
