Here’s what happened.

The Blue Jackets entered tonight’s game with a chance to make history and equal the Pittsburgh Penguins’ record for the most consecutive wins in NHL history with 17.

They failed, falling to the Washington Capitals tonight.

This was historic and worth remembering, folks. We just witnessed the best stretch of hockey in team history, and the fun had to end sometime. We still lead the league.
