With the 20th pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Columbus Blue Jackets selected Pyotr Andreyanov. This pick was definitely a surprise, as Andreyanov was a name not seen on many draft rankings. The first Russian and first goaltender taken in the draft, he fills the need of a high-end goalie prospect within the organization.

Currently playing in the MHL (the junior league of the KHL), Andreyanov was 23-6-6 last season with a 1.75 GAA and a .942 save percentage in 37 games played. There’s no word on his contract status in Russia, but Waddell was reportedly poking around the Dan Milstein hockey camp a few weeks ago.

Welcome to Columbus, Pyotr!
