Cleveland Monsters, 8-10-3-2, 21 points, .457 win%, 6th Central, 14th West

vs

Iowa Wild, 13-9-5-1, 32 points, .571 win%, 3rd Central, 7th West

Winning only two of their last 10 games, the Cleveland Monsters are looking to start a hot streak. The Iowa Wild are in a similar position having won four of their last ten games.

Jordan Schroeder and Gabriel Carlsson return to the roster. While Sonny Milano and Cameron Gaunce will be missing thanks to a call-up by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Due to Milano’s absence, all of the forwards will need to step up and generate offensive play after offensive play.

Both teams finish well when they have the lead and flounder when they trail. Basically, the Monsters need to play 60 minutes of hockey. I know I have said this almost every preview in recent history. I’ll keep saying it until it happens. Playing hockey in spurts has been the biggest downfall of the Monsters all season long.

Simply put, the Monsters need to go hard all game long to come out on top this week.
