After a thrilling four-round shootout Friday, the Monsters came out on top over the Moose. The win put them even closer to the four spot in the division. All they needed was the Iowa Wild to lose in regulation and it would be theirs again. The Wild did lose but in a shootout. Now, only .5% is keeping the Monsters from becoming fourth in the division.
If the Monsters defeat the Moose today, they will reclaim the coveted fourth spot.
Currently, the fifth team in the Pacific division (Texas Stars) is two percentage points behind the Monsters.
Basically, tonight's game is quite the important one to win.
If the Monsters continue to listen to Coach Madden by constantly attacking the blue paint and taking a moment to watch a play form, the boy should walk away with two much-needed points.
