The Cleveland Monsters are heading into tonight's game with a bit of a chip on their shoulder. After having a firm hold on the fourth spot in the division for months, the Iowa Wild bumped them down to the five spot with a weekend sweep.
The Milwaukee Admirals have won six of their last 10 games and are currently on a two-game win streak. They're coming into tonight's game on fire.
The good news is Pontus Aberg and Jusse Saros were both called up to the Nashville Predators this week. Aberg is the Admirals leading goal scorer with nine goals. Also, Daniel Zaar will be back in the lineup for the Monsters tonight. He has been sorely missed especially on the power play.
These two last met at the end of January when the Monsters took down the Admirals, 5-2.
Between Joe Pendenza's spunk, Olive Bjorkstrand's patience, and the poetry in motion of the Milano-Scott-Maletta line the Monsters were able to put on a show for everyone in attendance. Due to illnesses and injuries, Jacob Graves had to play as a fourth line winger. Which by the way, Graves did not stink as a winger.
If the Monsters play the way they played on January 24th, they will yet again dominate the game. They will be even better if they tighten up and control the puck during the power play.
