The Cleveland Monsters are flying high after beating the Rockford IceHogs last night. Will this newfound momentum be enough to propel the Monsters past the Chicago Wolves who are riding a 10-game point streak?

They’ll have to keep an eye on a familiar face tonight. Former Monsters, T.J. Tynan is currently second on the Wolves in points (23) and assists (16). December was a hot month for Tynan. On December 16th, he scored a hat-trick which gave the Wolves their fourth straight win. He then continued to assist goal after goal on their hot streak. January is already looking to be Tynan’s month. On Monday, he assisted both of the Wolves’ goals in their 2-1 victory over the Iowa Wild.

Matiss Kivlenieks, Terry Broadhurst, and Alex Broadhurst stepped up their game last night. If the whole team can elevate themselves to their level, taking down the Wolves will be no problem.

Keeping Jordan Maletta, Doyle Somerby, and Brett Gallant on the same line tonight would be a smart idea. The Wolves are a heavy hitting, rough and tough team. Having a line of heavy hitters who aren’t afraid to steamroll someone will prove beneficial to the Monsters.
