Ope, sorry about that, got busy with work and travel stuff.
Training camp is underway, and no news remains…bad news? Adam Fantilli is still back in Michigan, as the team and his agent continue to negotiate his contract. Kirill Marchenko is cagey about whether he will be here beyond this season. Two players showed up in worse shape than Rick Bowness expected. Ugh.
But! We now have actual hockey action, with the Columbus Blue Jackets defeating the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 in a shootout. Conor Garland was the only scorer of the evening.
They are back at it tonight in Buffalo. It’s still a Monster-heavy lineup, with the regulars expected to see action in the final two preseason games later in the week.
