Nathan Horton Will Play Tonight
It's official - after a long wait, the Blue Jackets fanbase will get to see Nathan Horton take the ice in Union Blue tonight against the Phoenix Coyotes. Oh, but he's not the only guy who appears to be coming back tonight.
Dan's going to have the main game preview later today, but since this is kind of a big deal? Kind of deserved it's own thread.
After the Dispatch's Shawn Mitchell reported that Horton was on the verge of returning yesterday, the buzz began reaching a fever pitch . Now the team is conducting their morning skate, and Horton is skating with Brandon Dubinsky and Artem Anisimov as the club performs line rushes.
Here's the current lines are reported from practice:
17 - 42 -8
71-19-18
38-55-26
14-24-13
The next piece of good news is that Dalton Prout is also skating, and expects to play, but it's not the biggest surprise.
Guess who's working in the starter's net?
#72.
Sergei Bobrovsky appears ready to take the lead tonight. The team had stated he was likely to back up Curtis McElhinney, but it appears that plan has changed.
Tonight was already looking like an interesting game. With the news out of practice? It might just be a must-see.
Better put some coffee on.
