Monsters Lose Jordan Maletta and Carter Camper, Gain Ryan Kujawinski
Cleveland Monsters fans knew the 2018 NHL Trade Deadline wasn’t going to be fun. However, nothing prepared them for the loss of two of their favorite players to the same team.
Earlier in the day, the Columbus Blue Jackets announced they traded Jordan Maletta (c) to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Ryan Kujawinski (c/rw). After being traded to the Jackets, Kujawinski was assigned to the Monsters.
The Monsters is the third team Kujawinski will play for this season. He played five games with the Binghamton Devils notching 1 goal and 1 assists.
On December 14th, 2017 Kujawinski was traded to the Arizona Coyotes for Michael Latta. He spent the next 19 games playing for the Tucson Roadrunners where he tallied two assists.
The biggest surprise came towards the end of deadline when the Monsters announced they had traded Carter Camper to the Roadrunners for future considerations.
Fans will get a chance to say good bye to Maletta and Camper when the Roadrunners come to town on Friday, March 2nd and Sunday, March 4th.
