Highlight Recap: Wild at Blue Jackets
This is how Game 50 went.
The Columbus Blue Jackets were back at home Tuesday night to take on the Minnesota Wild following the All-Star Break.
First Period
Just 1:16 into play, David Savard’s shot from the blue line found the back of Devan Dubnyk’s net. It appeared as though Brandon Dubinsky or Josh Anderson might have tipped the puck past Dubnyk but it was Savard’s goal, his first since Oct. 30 against the Bruins.
Dean Kukan picked up career point number one with the assist, and Artemi Panarin added to his team-leading 28th assists.

Columbus appeared to make it 2-0 but the goal was reviewed and overturned. After a bit of a flurry in Dubnyk’s crease, Savard was ruled to be knocking the puck in with a kicking motion.

Second Period
Columbus hoped to keep up their first-period momentum but it was the Wild who came out in a flurry, registering nine of the first 10 second period shots. Jason Zucker tied the game with his team co-leading 20th.
Some more close calls by Minnesota, including a swarm around Bobrovsky, and even a near goal as time expired, but the scoreboard was all zeros. Bobrovsky stopped 19 of 20 second period shots and the score was tied heading into the final period.
