Highlight Recap: Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabres
Here’s what happened.
First Period
Columbus struggled with a flat performance in the first period and paid for it as Benoit Pouliot took advantage of a Scott Harrington turnover to give the Buffalo Sabres a 1-0 lead over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Josh Anderson may have injured his hand blocking a shot, but stayed in the game.
Second Period
Alex Wennberg blocked a shot and was gingerly skating for several shifts afterward, but did not leave the bench. Meanwhile, on offense:

Third Period
Kyle Okposo scored on a fortunate bounce. Artemi Panarin cut the deficit to 2-1.
Columbus was unable to find the equalizer as Eichel nailed an empty netter as time expired.
