Gameday: New Jersey Devils at Columbus Blue Jackets
Here’s what you need to know
Both of these teams lost overtime games last night: Columbus 3-4 in Pittsburgh and the Devils lost 3-4 at home to Calgary.
This is the Jackets’ first meeting with New Jersey, the last of their Metro opponents they haven’t faced yet. That’s weird.
I’ll update the lineups before if and when any lineup changes are announced. After a 4 day rest, Sergei Bobrovsky is expected to start both legs of this back-to-back. David Savard and Markus Nutivaara are both still listed as “day to day.” Dalton Prout is still listed as “a waste of a roster spot who got benched after just 9 shifts against Pittsburgh thus forcing the other 5 defensemen to carry the load.” It would be nice to see Dean Kukan make his season debut, wouldn’t it?
4:37 PM UPDATE: Markus Hannikainen is an emergency recall, and will take Josh Anderson’s place. Anderson is ill. Bob will start in goal. Markus Nutivaara is back and Dalton Prout is scratched.
For those of you going to the game, there will be a meetup at the cannon during the second intermission. Sounds like a good number of you will be there.
